GDPR Workshop: Preparing for Compliance - Live stream available
The EBU is hosting a practical workshop on 13 November in Geneva to help Members get ready for May 2018, when the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will be directly applicable in the EU Member States. The workshop will offer Members valuable insights, practical information and guidance which they may take home to their organizations to facilitate compliance with the GDPR.

New MIS publication: The Future of Audience Measurement - Key Challenges
Audience measurement is in a period of substantial change and becoming significantly more challenging and complex, while providing remarkable opportunities to analyze audience behaviour in much greater depth. This document explains, in non-technical language, the key challenges that EBU Members’ audience researchers and data analysts are facing. It also provides guidance for top management to mitigate challenges and explore data to its full potential.

BDI Workshop - SSO, a strategic and operational challenge for broadcasters : Presentations available
Over 50 delegates took part in an EBU Big Data Initiative workshop in Brussels on 17-18 October. The workshop gave participants the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences on Single Sign-On (SSO) tools and to discuss how best to implement SSO strategies.

EBU Big Data Week 2018 - 28.02 / 02.03 - Save the Date!
'Change' is the word for this third EBU Big Data week, which will take place in Geneva from 28 February to 2 March. The EBU Big Data Conference on 28 February and 1 March will focus on how big data is transforming PSM organizations. On 2 March,  Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) will host a conference on 'Research and Innovation for the Media' as part of the MediaRoad project (see below). We look forward to seeing you for our annual reunion!
MediaRoad Project Launch highlights digital transformation opportunities for media sector
The EBU hosted the MediaRoad Project Launch on 6 October in Brussels, marking the first step on a journey which aims to reawaken a ‘start-up mentality’ in the media sector. Big Data features among the key subjects to be addressed by this EU-funded project, which brings together a network of broadcasters, research institutes and producers.
