EBU and BOZAR pre-screening of 'The Team'
The EBU is proud to organize an exclusive pre-screening of 'The Team', a brand new European road movie police series, in collaboration with Bozar, Brussels' centre for fine arts.
The new series has been written by the international award-winning creative duo Mai Brostrøm and Peter Thorsboe, who have not only proved their ability to gain huge ratings in Scandinavia but also to attract an international audience - often with stories closely related to reality. Featuring Lars Mikkelsen, Jasmine Gerat and Veerle Baetens, 'The Team' is a result of collaboration between several European broadcasters and production companies, including ZDF (Germany), DR (Denmark), SVT (Sweden), ORF (Austria), VTM (Belgium), Arte (France/Germany) and SF (Switzerland).
Tracking an international police squad, 'The Team’ is an original European ‘road movie police series’, delving into organized crime across the continent and offering a realistic insight into cross-border police cooperation and investigation methods.
The event starts with a cocktail reception at 6:00pm (CET) followed by a word of welcome by the series' creative producer Andy Wecker. The first two episodes of 'The Team' will be screened from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
On the following day, the EBU is organising a special workshop using 'The Team' as a case study to highlight key stakes and challenges for public service broadcasters in a globalised environment.
