On 29 April 2019, we held the first EBU kids and YouTube workshop, hosted by RTVE in Madrid. In the morning, members of the EBU kids community met privately to exchange best practices as well as discussing the strategic challenges of using YouTube and YouTube Kids to distribute their content. In the afternoon, members of the EBU kids community met with Cedric Petitpas, Head of Family and Learning Partnerships, YouTube EMEA.
At the meeting, members exchanged their experiences, exposed their key challenges and wish-lists to YouTube EMEA and learned about the most recent and upcoming features and developments involving YouTube Kids. An executive summary of the discussion can be obtained by writing to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The workshop was the first in a series of discussions and workshops to help the EBU kids community in their dealings with the big-tech platforms.
