Manage your project with the 8-step change model

This Master Class will fuse the most recent and effective techniques together to give change leaders a practical toolbox to manage their projects.

The eight-step change model by Harvard Business School professor John Kotter acts as the backbone for the course. Each step is explained in practical terms and made applicable to the workplace thanks to the integration of easily actionable tools and real-life illustrations.

The skills acquired during this intensive program will help project leaders and managers to turn challenges into opportunities and fully engage their team. Participants will work hands-on at a dynamic pace and can include their own projects if they wish.

Key topic #1 – Understand and plan change

  • Intro: why people are hardwired not to change and what will eventually make them change

  • The Appreciative Inquiry (AI) technique to positively influence the team and trigger a willingness to change

  • Socio-dynamics: build strong alliances to create change momentum

Day 2

Key topic #2 – Communicate change

  • Top down: create and communicate an inspiring vision for the team

  • Bottom up: define collective goals for success together

Key topic #3 – Manage resistance to change

  • Prevent and overcome resistance to change

  • Prevent and mitigate risks

  • Win over and enable people

Day 3

Key topic #4 – Implement sustainable change

  • Define clear metrics, manage performance and provide continuous feedback

  • Create a culture of sustainable performance, build trust and delegate

  • Leadership techniques to tap the power of full engagement
