BNT embraces challenge of hosting Junior Eurovision 
This year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place on Saturday (21 November) in Sofia. It’s the first time that Bulgaria has hosted a Eurovision Song Contest, but BNT (Bulgarian National Television) is embracing the challenge and very much looking to the opportunities too.

Australia to make Eurovision Song Contest return in 2016 
The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and Australian broadcaster SBS are proud to announce that Australia will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest again in 2016. History was made in Vienna in May, when Australia debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest to celebrate the event's 60th anniversary and Australia's long tradition of broadcasting the show.

Finnish government announces new DTT licenses until 2027 
The Finnish government has announced new Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) licenses until 2027. Details of the announcement can be found here. Interestingly, a new network operator has been introduced into the market - Norkring AS (Norway).

EBU welcomes overwhelming support for terrestrial TV at WRC-15 
The first week of the ITU World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-15) has given national and regional authorities the opportunity to present their positions on the future allocation of radio spectrum among broadcasting and mobile services. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is encouraged to note that the overwhelming majority of proposals support a ‘No change’ position for the UHF band 470-694/698 MHz. This band is currently allocated to terrestrial TV and the radio microphones that are essential for content production.

Rose d'Or nominees announced with more master class speakers 
The nominees for the 2015 Rose d’Or Awards were announced today by Eurovision, organisers of the prestigious international entertainment programme awards. A record number of submissions were received for the Awards to be announced on December 9th at a ceremony at the British Museum in London.
