Summer Festivals – The music is as hot as the weather! 
Eagerly awaited by radio listeners every year, this series of highly concentrated live events from 11 June to 9 September offers classical music-lovers around 350 concerts and operas from all over Europe, showcasing such famous names as Bayreuth, the BBC Proms and the Salzburg Festival, not to mention the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, Aix-en-Provence and Verbier.

EBU Technical Assembly elects first female chair 
Against a backdrop of cutting-edge technology demonstrations and presentations, last week's 24th EBU Technical Assembly marked the start of another year of cooperative work in media technology innovation. Delegates ensorsed an updated Workplan and elected a new Technical Committee, chaired for the first time by a woman.
