Every two years, amateur choruses from all over Europe and beyond gather for Let The Peoples Sing (LTPS). This Euroradio choral competition is recorded and distributed live to multimedia audiences throughout the world.
LTPS originated in 1961 as a BBC contest for British choruses. Since then, under the aegis of the EBU, it has become one of the major choral competitions on the international music scene.
A prestigious international jury selects the top group in each of three categories (Children and Youth, Adult and Open, i.e. a specific musical style or genre), as well as an overall winner, recipient of the highly coveted Silver Rose Bowl.
The 2017 LTPS will be hosted by Euroradio Member YLE at Helsinki's Musiikkitalo (Music Centre) on 14-15 October. This edition will be a multimedia event, broadcast live by Euroradio Members and Finnish TV and streamed on the Web.
