Members' Selections

Every year, around 3,500 concerts are offered and taken by EBU radio organizations, representing the world's largest exchange of music of all kinds: classical, jazz, folk, world and rock/pop. Each concert is broadcast in an average of seven countries and heard by some 1.7 million music-lovers. The programme offer ranges from world-class orchestras (Berlin and Vienna Philharmonics) to the leading international opera houses (Metropolitan Opera, La Scala, Covent Garden). But there are hundreds of other events as well, with offers as varied as music for Ramadan, the Montreux Jazz Festival, gypsy music from Central and Eastern Europe, Coldplay and Radiohead, and Tinariwen, a Tuareg world music group from Saharan Africa.

The music is available live via the Euroradio satellite network or deferred via an audio file exchange system and can be requested by EBU radio organizations via the MUS database. Files are pushed from the EBU's M2M platform to the servers of requesting organizations. Unless otherwise specified, each concert may be broadcast up to three times during one year and is available for streaming on demand for 30 days.
