The Eurovision Youth Documentary Exchange is a production of high-quality, original, true-life documentaries for an audience of 10 to 12 year olds.
A theme is chosen each year. This year's theme is "I Can Do It": Children showing courage. The main character is an active participant in the unfolding drama of his life, and the story is told in the child’s own words.
These are stories of universal appeal through which the viewer will also catch a glimpse of the diverse national cultures of Europe and the Middle East.
Created over 20 years ago, the exchange series is based on the principle of ‘make one, take all’, i.e. each broadcaster produces one episode and receives the others for free. The only other cost is a contribution to a central budget covering the costs of the executive producer and EBU coordination.
Programmes in distribution: the series from previous years are available for sale. Please contact the EBU for further information.
