The 2019 Eurovision Debate will be broadcast live from the European Parliament in Brussels on 15 May 2019 at 21:00 CET. This is the second edition of the Eurovision Debate.
In May 2014, the first Eurovision Debate made broadcasting history by creating the first-ever live televised debate between the 5 main candidates running to be the next president of the European Commission. This second edition of the Eurovision Debate will reiterate the exercise, again bringing democratic political debate to a pan-European level.
The Eurovision Debate 2019 will increase its focus on social media to bring the people of Europe together not only via traditional media but also online to stimulate a debate across borders around issues that are topical for the next European elections.
