Euroradio spotlights Radiohead in special live recording
11 juillet 2016Thanks to SRF (Switzerland), the EBU's Music Exchange is now offering Members a concert by the legendary British rock group Radiohead (RM/16/07/01/01).
The programme was recorded live at an open air concert in St. Gallen on 2 July and is available for downloading on M2M for three broadcasts by Euroradio Members until 2 July 2017
Formed in 1985, Radiohead is made up of Thom Yorke (lead vocals, guitar, piano, keyboards), Jonny Greenwood (guitar, keyboards), Ed O’Brien (guitar, backing vocals), Colin Greenwood (bass), and Phil Selway (drums, percussion, backing vocals).
The band’s debut single, “Creep”, became a worldwide hit after release of their debut album in 1993. Their 2000 album, “Kid A”, was named the best album of the decade by Rolling Stone. Their ninth album, “A Moon Shaped Pool” (2016), prominently features Jonny Greenwood's orchestral arrangements.
