Norwegian viola prodigy wins Eurovision Young Musicians 2012
The title of Eurovision Young Musician 2012 was won in Vienna tonight (May 11) by 17-year-old Eivind Holtsmark Ringstad, from Norway, who wowed the jury with a flawless performance of movements two and three of Béla Bartók's viola concerto.

The 18th annual Radio Assembly of the European Broadcasting Union is being held on 10 and 11 May 2012 in Stockholm. Ennio Chiodi, the vice-director of RAI 3, has been elected to the EBU TV Committee for a one year term. The vote was taken on April 27th at the 2012 Eurovision TV Summit, which was attended by 500 delegates in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Armenia withdraws from 2012 Eurovision Song Contest
Armenian Public Television announced it will not take part in this year's Eurovision Song Contest, which is to be hosted by Azerbaijani public broadcaster, Ictimai TV, in Baku on May 22-26. The news was communicated to the EBU today.
