9th News Assembly, Prague

The assembly offers news directors, editors in chief and foreign editors the opportunity to network and to exchange views about improving coverage, reducing costs and implementing new technology.

This year’s agenda will include:

• Keynote address by Jeff Jarvis, blogger  and associate professor at City University New York, director of CUNY New Media Program
• How to  break the mold, build and inspire  the creative newsrooms of tomorrow. Discussion with Ingolf Gabold, Ulrik Haagerup, Helle Hein and Olov Carlson
• Conversation with Google and Vice News
• How to attract young audiences
• Debate on objectivity vs. emotion in reporting, etc.
