Virtual Roundtable / EBU social media responses
In response to the unprecedented challenge to public-service broadcasters posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the EBU is looking at ways to support Members in the unavoidable changes of plans they’ve had to implement.
At a time like this, keeping the conversation with the audience going is key, but it might be challenging to find the best ways to do it. For this reason, we would like to set up a virtual round table with representatives of social media, editorial and audience engagement teams, where we can discuss what everyone is doing to keep and enhance interactivity with the audience, on social media and on any other platforms they are using.
The main points of discussion for the roundtable will be:
- What are the major changes you’ve seen in how your audiences interact with you on different channels? (Quantity and quality of interactions? Developments of new needs related to forced isolation? etc.)
- How are you addressing new audience needs and behaviours?
- As this transforms into a more long-term situation, what are your priorities and desired outcomes for the weeks to come?
- What are the main challenges you’re experiencing that the EBU / other EBU Members could assist you with?
