EBU Media Choirs Survey Report

Bavarian Radio Choir

The EBU Media Choir community was born in 2024 during Swedish Radio’s Eric Ericson Award. They have had their own annual event since then: the EBU Choir Summit, held every autumn and hosted by an EBU member organization. The 2025 event was hosted by the RIAS Kammerchor Berlin, the Rundfunkchor Berlin, and Rundfunk Orchester und Chöre Berlin. In 2026, the BBC Singers will be welcoming the community in London.

Participants in the EBU Choir Summit have collectively agreed to produce a survey on key questions for the day-to-day benefit of the whole community. We address a huge thank-you to Jonathan Manners, Director of the BBC Singers, and his team for producing the survey.
