TEDxTransmedia 2012

TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.

On 28 September 2012, TEDxTransmedia, under the auspices of the European Broadcasting Union, returns to Rome's MAXXI Museum for its third global conference. In three sessions with fifteen speakers we will strive to define the genome of transmedia by presenting stories that will inspire new ways of media thinking. 

This year’s event will bring the energy of adults’ inner children and the unadulterated insights of the younger generation to re-think entertainment. Speakers of all ages will share the stage to inspire transformation and create more engaging storytelling in the challenging environment we are currently working in. Pioneers, trailblazers and innovators will share successes and failures in order to raise the bar and increase the quality, visibility and impact of social issues and to mobilize action for substantial change.

Youngsters will be the core of the event. As part of the regular 18-minute TEDTalks, a short presentation will be given by speakers from two age groups: 14–18 and 18–22.

At TEDxTransmedia 2012 we invite thinkers, doers and ultimately dreamers to join us in a discussion about shaping Meaningful Media through the opportunities provided by various transmedia techniques.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx.

Our event is called TEDxTransmedia, where x=independently organized TED event. At our TEDxTransmedia event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
