EBU experts visit HRT
The EBU's Croatian member, HRT, will be the first public service broadcaster in the EU Enlargement Region to assess the feasibility of converging its TV, radio and online newsrooms.
This will take place during a visit of EBU experts to HRT headquarters in Zagreb on 4-5 April 2013.
ntroduction high-level presentations for HRT’s top management will be delivered by EBU Media Director Annika Nyberg, previously involved in the convergence process at Finland’s public service broadcaster YLE and by Henrik Keith Hansen, a Danish member of the Eurovision Academy faculty. The sessions will aim to identify the necessary steps in the convergence process and to draft a roadmap for its execution. This high-level session will be followed up by a master class on convergence led by Hansen.
"Setting Public Service News Standards" is a core activity of an EBU Action Plan to strengthen public service media in EU accession countries. It is composed of a training scheme on public service news, on-request feasibility assessments of newsroom convergence, and tailor-made seminars, if desired, on working in integrated multimedia newsrooms.
