The 2011 Svetozár Stracina Grand Prix Competition – an international competition of folk music recordings –  is taking place on 23-25 March in Bratislava.

This traditional and folk music competition was initiated five years ago and is supported by the EBU Folk and Traditional Music Group. More than a competition, the event organized by SKRTVS (Radio and Television of Slovakia) is an opportunity to highlight the wealth of today's folk and traditional music all over Europe.

This year, 22 EBU Member organizations are participating in this unique international event.
