Young Austrian flutist wins the 2011 Concertino Praga

The 45th final of the Concertino Praga, organized by Czech Radio in cooperation with the EBU, were held in Prague on 12 & 13 February 2011. This year the first prize went to the young Austrian flutist Veronika Blachuta, born on 12 June 1993. The EBU wishes Veronika every success in the pursuit of her career.

The jury awarded three first prizes, five second prizes and seven honourable mentions. All results can be found here.

The Concertino Praga – a competition for musicians aged up to 16 – is the first step on the path to fame, before the New Talent Competition and the Borletti-Buitoni Trust. All information can be found on the EBU Radio Department’s “Competitions" web page.
