Euroradio Contact Engineers' Plenary Meeting, Cavtat, 3 & 4 May 2012

At the kind invitation of Croatian Radio and under the chairmanship of Wim Moortgat (VRT), some 35 Euroradio Contact Engineers met in Cavtat on 3 & 4 May 2012 for their annual plenary meeting.
Apart from electing the new Bureau, the Group exchanged experiences, received in-depth information on the new M2M distribution system for sound files and discussed the renewal of the live Euroradio network, upgrade of the Oslo codecs to version 5.0.1, new technologies as well as EBU activities and structure.
The upcoming 2012 Euroradio Summer Festivals with some 350 concerts from classical music festivals throughout Europe, broadcast between mid-June and mid-September, were also discussed and preparations were made for the Music Seminar to be held at EBU Headquarters in Geneva on 12 & 13 November 2012.
