The EBU's Director General has praised Georgian Public Broadcasting for its coverage of parliamentary elections in October and for building its audience share.

Addressing the Union's winter General Assembly in Geneva attended by 150 delegates representing more than 40 countries, Ingrid Deltenre said she was "very pleased to say that GPB had provided its audiences with the most objective reporting election coverage and had increased its ratings."

The EBU has provided a wide of assistance to GPB through its Partnership Programme over the past two years, including strategy development, training and mentoring schemes in human resources and archive preservation.
