Japan Prize 2013: Rewarding educational media

The international contest for educational media hosted by EBU Associate Member Nippon Hoso Kyokai (NHK) is seeking entries for 2013.

The Japan Prize, established in 1965, seeks out the best in audiovisual educational content from linear TV programs, videos and movies to non-linear formats, such as websites and interactive games.

The prestigious award aims to promote the development of creative, engaging educational content in light of the ever changing challenges of new technologies and digital platforms. 

The 40th edition of the Japan Prize offers cash prizes in the categories of Pre-School, Primary, Youth, Continuing Education, Welfare Education, Innovative Media.

Awards are also offered for the best program proposals from developing nations, with the five finalists being invited to Tokyo to pitch their projects in front of an international jury.
