The EBU’s Partnership Programme has agreed to help Teleradio Moldova in drawing up a five-year strategic plan for 2014-2018.

The assistance was requested by TRM President Constantin Marin during a visit to the Moldovan capital by EBU Head of Member Relations David Lewis and former Vice-President Boris Bergant, who worked with Mr Marin and his senior staff to draw up TRM’s strategic guidelines for 2010-2015.

The EBU delegation assessed implementation of the 2010-2015 guidelines during meetings with Mr Marin, Radio Director Alexander Dorogan, TV Director Mircea Surdu and Aurelia Peru-Balan, chair of the TRM Supervisory Board.

Later this month, the Eurovision ACADEMY, with financial support from the Partnership Programme, will be training TRM’s senior managers on implementing a new performance-related staff  management system which forms part of the 2010-2015 strategic plan.

Mr Bergant will work on the updated strategy at TRM in early 2014 and present it to the Board, by which time six of its nine members will have been replaced.

TRM runs three radio channels, one TV channel and a multimedia website with around 800 staff and annual income equivalent to only around €7 million.
