About 'Let the Peoples Sing' Competition

The biannual Euroradio  'Let the Peoples Sing' competition is organized every other year under the auspices of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).

The competition is open to amateur choirs, representing EBU Active or Associate Members. This year's finalists were selected by an international jury, which met in January to review recorded submissions for the live Euroradio final.

Of the 22 choirs who made submissions, eight were shortlisted  to compete in three categories: Adult, Youth, and an Open category for groups with a more specialized repertory, such as folk music. The overall winner is awarded the prestigious Silver Rose Bowl.

This year's 2013 competition was coordinated by host broadcaster ERSL (Luxembourg), as part of the Euroradio Concert Season.

Sunday's final was available during a live webcast from Luxembourg’s Philharmonic Hall via Euroradio's video exchange platform, Euroradio 2See, which was launched in July. The 2015 event will be hosted by Bavarian Radio.
