Running order for Saturday's Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Participants counting down to the final of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest (JESC) last night conducted their own draw to determine the performance order for this Saturday's event in Kyiv.

The self-drawn ballot is one of a number format changes to this year's contest. Additionally, awards have been created for second and third place, and the winner will perform at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen. 

The twelve contestants, aged between ten and fifteen years, will perform in the following order:

1.    Eliias Ellfors Elfstrom - Sweden

2.    Rustam Karimov - Azerbaijan

3.     Monika Avanesyan – Armenia

4.     Michele Perniolo – San Marino

5.    Barbara Popovic – FYR Macedonia

6.     Sofia Tarasova – Ukraine

7.     Ilya Volkov  – Belarus

8.     Rafael Bobeica – Moldova

9.     The Smile Shop – Georgia

10.   Mylene and Rosanne – Netherlands

11.   Gaia Cauchi – Malta

12.   Dayana Kirillova – Russia

The two hour contest hosted by Ukrainian public broadcaster and EBU Member  NTU, will be broadcast from the National Palace of Arts Ukraine and will be available to participating broadcasters live or via online media streams.

The evening will include performances by Emmelie de Forest, winner of the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest, last year’s JESC winner Anastasiya Petryk, co-host and Eurovision Malmö 2013 place-getter Zlata Ognevich, and 2004 Eurovision Song Contest winner Ruslana Lyzhychko.
