Eurovision ACADEMY: Back to school for Europe's top broadcasting managers

Top managers from Europe’s public service media are in Barcelona for the opening module of the inaugural executive programme developed by the EBU’s corporate training division Eurovision ACADEMY.

Delivered in partnership with two of the world's top business schools, IESE in Barcelona and UCLA Anderson, the three 5-day modules offer a unique opportunity for talented managers from Europe’s public service media to engage with leaders from global media companies.

The first module, at the IESE campus (26–30 May), explores the theme ‘Get focused!’

“Public media are under pressure to concentrate their activities on what contributes directly to the organization’s goal and the public good,” says Head of Eurovision ACADEMY Nathalie Labourdette. “Participants will study the building blocks they need to focus on the PSM remit:

  • Understand the macro-context to ‘think big’
  • Develop a digital mindset
  • Be fully conversant with financial statements
  • Beyond current thinking in the public media space, consider new ways the industry might develop
  • Special nature of public service companies and unique leadership issues

The week will be complemented by two further modules: Los Angeles in September and New York in October.
