EBU holds Workshop on Children’s Programming in Egypt

The EBU has responded to its Egyptian Member ERTU’s request to develop a workshop on children’s programming,
Commissioned by the Eurovision Academy, Head of Young Audiences Thomas Grond developed and led the workshop at the premises of ERTU in Cairo between 2 and 7 April
Barbara Weibel, director and trainer at Swiss Member SRG SSR also took a major role.
The course was jointly organised by the Islamic Broadcasting Union and the Egyptian Radio and Television Union and was supported by the EBU.
21 people from Egypt, Sudan, Algeria, Mauretania and Jordan took part in the workshop where they created and produced4 different pilot episodes of new TV shows for children.
The workshop continues the long tradition of cooperation between Eurovision Academy and ERTU.
