Approximately 50 participants from 22 EBU Radio Members, are meeting on Friday, 28 October 2011 in Berlin, in the framework of Prix Europa. In light of the new Radio Music category at Prix Europa,  for the first time in EBU history the conference is gathering directors of cultural radio channels and heads of music, creating a unique opportunity to work together. The conference will adress the situation of music, content and listening on cultural radio stations in Europe, analyzing their challenges with particular attention on how to match new opportunities offered by the digital world.

Meeting participants will also be called upon to elect the new Culture Group for a two-year mandate covering 2012 and 2013.

The meeting will be preceded on Thursday, 27 October by a “Leadership Panel Discussion“ on “The Future of Public Service Media in Europe“ by Ingrid Deltenre, EBU Director General, Ruurd Bierman, Managing Director NOS, Rémy Pflimlin, France Télévision CEO, Roger de Weck, Swiss Radio-Television, Director General, Lauri Kivinen, Yleisradio CEO, and Dagmar Reim, Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg, Director General.

This event will be followed by a reception celebrating the 25th anniversary of Prix Europa. The 2011 Prix Europa Award Ceremony will take place on Saturday, 29 October.
