Financial discussions at Euroradio

The Euroradio Users' Group met on 14 June 2013 in Zagreb at the kind invitation of Croatian Radio.
Under its Chairman, Graham Dixon, GBBBC, this Group is responsible for elaborating Euroradio's technical and programming strategies, approving the accounts and drawing up the budget. In the technical area, the Group approved the necessary investments to finalize the Euroradio satellite network, taking into account Eurovision's work on FUNA making incompatible Euroradio-Eurovision's joint use of satellite antennae and the new developments of the M2M platform for the exchange of deferred concerts.
In the programming area, the celebration of the Britten and Richard Strauss anniversaries in 2013-2014 necessitate a substantial increase in the budget for acquisition of authors' rights. This increase was approved, and the reinvestment of surpluses from past seasons will make it possible to maintain the same amount paid by Euroradio Members for access to the 2013-2014 Season.
