Macedonian Radio and Television (MRT) announces a competition for new, original and unpublished musical works as part of the 2013 Skopje Festival, Macedonia’s oldest and most famous popular music festival. MRT will produce video clips of the three prizewinning entries, which will be performed by the MRT Pops Orchestra on 13 November 2013 (City of Skopje Day) at the beautifully reconstructed Old People’s Theatre. The composers of the top-ranked works will be awarded monetary prizes respectively of €20,000, €10,000 and €5,000.

Deadline for submitting entries, whose lyrics must be in Macedonian, is 15 September 2013. The application form, which can be downloaded from www.mrt.com.mk/prijava SK2013, along with a piano reduction of the score and a CD demo, should be sent to the MTV Department for Popular Programmes (Skope 2013), Bul.
