The annual meeting of the Euroradio Jazz Producers’ Group was held in Stockholm on 18 October at the kind invitation of Swedish Radio, in conjunction with two outstanding concerts by the European Jazz Orchestra..

Some of the important decisions:

Despite the elimination of the European Union subsidies, it was decided to continue the activity of the European Jazz Orchestra (EJO), which dates back to 1963, but without the collaboration of Swinging Europe. The Group paid tribute to Swinging Europe for its outstanding work in the past. The next concerts by the Euroradio Jazz Orchestra will take place in Prague in October 2014.

Everything possible will be done to organize a jazz competition on an annual basis, in conjunction with the Dutch Jazz Days, the Dutch Foundation for Jazz and Buuma, the Dutch rights collecting society. The next Jazz Competition is set to take place in June 2014.

Many steps were taken to make the Euroradio Jazz Concert series more attractive, including the addition of videos, photos, interviews and obligatory presentation scripts.

Finally, the Producers re-elected Hugo Sekoranja from Slovenian Radio to a new two-year term (2014-2015) as their Chairman.
