Eurovision Song Contest website gets a makeover

The EBU has launched a brand new Eurovision Song Contest website, with the 2013 final just two weeks off.

The stylish new site, www.eurovision.tv, offers slicker social media integration and “responsive design”, adapting automatically to the visitor’s device, be it computer, tablet or smartphone.

Sietse Bakker, Eurovision Song Contest Event Supervisor on behalf of EBU/Eurovision, said: "More and more people are browsing on mobile devices – 25% of visitors to eurovision.tv are already checking in via a smartphone or tablet. Now we have a website that follows this trend. We are proud of the fact that ours is among the first major event websites in the world to switch to responsive design."

He added: “As the excitement builds in the coming weeks our new website and social media channels will bring Europe closer to the Eurovision Song Contest – and to each other – than ever before."

Besides the official website, the Eurovision Song Contest can be found on YouTube, Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Instagram and the Russian-language platforms Vkontakte and Odnoklassniki.

The 58th Eurovision Song Contest will be hosted by Swedish broadcaster and EBU Member SVT, and is set to take place on 14, 16 and 18 May in Malmö, Sweden under the slogan “We Are One”.
