28 octobre 2013
A coming of age film scripted by Dutch screenwriter Anne Barnhoorn in collaboration with public service broadcaster NPO was awarded 'Best TV Fiction Script by a Newcomer' at the prestigious Prix Europa Festival awards ceremony in Berlin (26 October).
The category, which is one of 13 which recognises outstanding European television and radio content, was created in 1987 by the European Alliance for Television & Culture (EATC)* under the auspices of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), which operates Eurovision and Euroradio.
'The Deflowering of Eva Van End' tells the story of a dysfunctional family turned on its head, when the 'perfect' exchange student moves in for a two week stay. The film was Ms Barnoorn's feature screenwriting debut.
