EBU/Polis journalism fellowship report 2014

Polis2014_news.jpgKamila Varadzinová from the public service broadcaster Czech Radio, has spent a month in London researching the use of Voting Aid Applications (VAA) to add value to the coverage of elections.

VAA are interactive tools that help voters find a candidate or party that stands closest to their ideas and preference. VAAs are still relatively new and sometimes arouse controversy.

This new Eurovision Media Online report looks at the challenges and benefits of VAAs and makes some recommendations about how they should be developed in the future. The month long research fellowship was offered on a competitive basis to public service journalists working for EBU Member organizations.
