EBU Member Czech Television to host 2016 Eurovision Connect conference in May
Eurovision Connect 2015 (Cavtat, Croatia)

Eurovision Connect is a very successful annual conference held under the auspices of the EBU for more than 20 years. The 2016 conference will be held in Prague on 19 to 20 May at the kind invitation of Czech Television.

It brings together more than 170 professionals from public service broadcasters all across Europe for a packed two-day schedule highlighting innovation, creativity and excellence in broadcast marketing in all its forms, both traditional and new.

The conference covers topics such as branding, marketing, promotions, audience navigation, design and media planning, with an increasing focus on the use of digital and social media.

  • It’s for anyone who wants to access the most up-to-date information and innovation in this exciting sector and meet colleagues from all over Europe.
  • It is designed for and by people working in public service media.
  • It prides itself on being a friendly environment where like-minded professionals can learn and find inspiration together.
  • It’s all about sharing. Sharing ideas. Sharing ways of working. Sharing solutions for common challenges.

A word from the chairman

"Public service media has never been so challenging. Just name it… politics, economics, technology and the ‘uberization’ of more and more businesses.

As PSM we are faced with a paradox: we might be a bit slower to react than commercial competitors, or subject to stricter constraints, but in actual fact, our remits enable us to better understand audiences, innovate, and address younger audiences. If we want to achieve this, creating new connections and sharing experience is the key.

Eurovision Connect 2016 will be held in Prague, the perfect venue to experience the disruptive energy of emerging countries. A central location, reachable within a reasonable amount of time and budget. The perfect place to bring various talented professionals from your company, from various departments and various generations."

Chairman of the Eurovision Connect steering group
