Rose d'Or: Countdown underway for the 54th awards ceremony

Submissions for this year’s Rose d’Or Awards will open on Monday 1st June. The event, which celebrates the best and most creative TV, online and radio formats worldwide, will take place on 9 December at the Clore Centre of the British Museum in London.

Last year, Golden Rose Awards were presented in nine categories, including Television, Comedy, Sitcom, Game Show, Arts, Reality and Factual Entertainment, Entertainment, Radio, Comedy, Entertainment, Reality & Factual Entertainment.

New entry categories for the 2015 edition of the awards ceremony will be announced in the coming weeks.

Eurovision Media Director Annika Nyberg Frankenhauser says the British Museum is a venue that befits the event’s prestige.

“The British Museum is one of the finest institutions in one of the world’s cultural capitals, reflecting the standing of this occasion,” said Ms Nyberg Frankenhauser. “Top quality entertainment programming plays a critical role in society, appealing to the widest audiences, bringing unity to culturally diverse audiences, and creating a sense of community.”

Eurovision first acquired the Rose d’Or in 1961 when it was created by Swiss Television. It resumed control in 2013 and re-launched the event in Brussels and then Berlin.
