MediaRoad Launch and Creative Circle VI by VRT Sandbox

The EU-funded MediaRoad project promises to help Europe’s media sector revamp the way it approaches innovation by shaping future research and policy priorities as well as by strengthening collaboration between media organizations and start-ups.

Join us for the MediaRoad Project launch and VRT Creative Circle VI event taking place on 9 October 2017 in Brussels from 10:30 to 17:00 to find out more about how your organization can join the MediaRoad network and shape future media research and innovation projects as well as policy priorities. You will also find out how and why the MediaRoad project aims to bring a community of researchers, content creators, broadcasters and startups together all over Europe, with presentations by leaders of the three project hubs - Sandbox, Policy and Network.

Key to this process will be the transformation of the VRT Sandbox initiative into a replicable model, creating and connecting multiple 'incubators for innovation' that will stimulate crossover collaborations and boost the European innovative media industry. Following the MediaRoad project presentation, we will take you back to the history of VRT Sandbox and showcase the startups and projects that have made this initiative successful. Celebrate with us and get to know all about the future network and opportunities in Europe.

Participants will be welcomed by EBU Director General Noel Curran. We also look forward to the opening by Paolo Cesarini, Head of Unit 14 - Media Convergance and Social Media, DG CNET, European Commission and keynote speech 'Towards a new deal for the media sector by Dr Françoise Benhamou, Professor at Université de Paris XIII and Board Member of ARCEP.
