Fact-checking Workshop

The Eurovision News Exchange will host a one-day workshop in Geneva centered around fact-checking within the EBU membership.
The hands-on workshop will see members discuss fact-checking, verification and data journalism initiatives already ongoing, while also identifying ways for future collaboration between the Members.
The event will be chaired by Derek Bowler, Head of Social Newsgathering, and Teemo Tebest, Data Journalist, Eurovision News Exchange, who will update attendees on the Eurovision Social Newswire and the EBU Data Journalism Community
The day will be broken up into two sessions:
• Ongoing operations - What is happening in and around the membership
• Fact-checking - Defining what it is and what where we can collaborate
We would like to cordially invite you to attend our workshop at the European Broadcasting Union HQ in Geneva.
The event gets underway at 9 am on Tuesday, June 25, with an aim to close the workshop no later than 5 pm. Light refreshments and lunch will be provided on the day.
Due to the hands-on nature of the workshop, we are making only one place available per organisation.
