The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) are proud to announce the renewal of their exclusive media rights partnership for 2025–2028, ensuring that fans across Europe can continue to enjoy world-class gymnastics free-to-air.

The new agreement grants exclusive media rights for the FIG World Championships in Artistic, Rhythmic, and Trampoline. The agreement also includes non-exclusive rights for non-Olympic disciplines and events in Aerobic, Acrobatic, and Parkour as well as the 18th World Gymnaestrada to be held in Lisbon, Portugal in July 2027.

20 EBU Members are part of the renewed agreement, including EPTV (Algeria), VRT (Belgium), BNT (Bulgaria), HRT (Croatia), CYBC (Cyprus), YLE (Finland), ARD/ZDF (Germany), ERT (Greece), MTVA (Hungary), RÚV (Iceland), RTÉ (Ireland), RAI (Italy), NOS (Netherlands), RTP (Portugal), STVR (Slovakia), TVE (Spain), SRG (Switzerland), TRT (Türkiye) and UA:PBC (Ukraine).

The rights acquired by the EBU enable its Members to broadcast across all media, including linear television and digital platforms. In addition, Eurovision Sport — the EBU’s free streaming platform — will offer complementary coverage alongside EBU Members’ broadcasts.

This announcement builds on the renewal of the EBU’s long-standing partnership with European Gymnastics earlier this year, further cementing the EBU’s position as the home of gymnastics in Europe.

The renewed agreement also reinforces the long-term collaboration between EBU Members and FIG to bring gymnastics to audiences across Europe and beyond.

Morinari Watanabe, President, FIG, said: “This ongoing collaboration with the EBU demonstrates our shared commitment to strengthening the presence of gymnastics across Europe and plays a key role in its growth.

“Together, we continue to connect with new audiences, inspire the next generation of fans, and deliver high-quality coverage to dedicated supporters of the sport.”

Glen Killane, Executive Director, EBU Sport, said: “This renewed agreement reflects the strength and continuity of our partnership with FIG and our shared commitment to making world-class gymnastics accessible to everyone.

“Through the collective power and reach of public service media, we’re not only showcasing the sport’s most significant moments, but also inspiring the next generation of athletes and fans.”

The next event will be the 53rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia, taking place from 19–25 October 2025.

19 EBU Members will deliver extensive coverage of the Championships across their broadcast and online services, reaching fans and gymnastics communities throughout Europe free-to-air.

Together with Eurovision Sport, this multiplatform approach will bring the sport’s biggest moments to an even wider audience.

The Championships will be followed by the Trampoline World Championships (5-9 November 2025) in Pamplona, Spain and the Artistic Gymnastics Junior World Championships (20-24 November 2025) in Manila, Philippines.
