The ARD Twitched-on
Since 2022, ARD has explored livestreaming on Twitch, a creator-driven platform with few corporate accounts, posing a unique challenge for public broadcasting. As one of Europe’s first public broadcasters to produce original Twitch content, ARD focuses on four pillars: Gaming (connecting journalism and gaming culture), Politics (interactive formats like Tagesschau Together), Dialogue (real-time audience engagement), and Events (concerts, comedy, and RPG streams).
