The annual New Radio Day is the meeting point for those working in radio innovation across EBU organizations. Members come together to share projects, describe best practice, and learn from others’ innovations and approach. This event unites programme-making and technology expertise successful public media needs both great content and attractive presentation and delivery.
Much has changed in radio since last year. We have third-party devices such as Google Home and Amazon Echo, and alternative ways of listening – such as podcasting – are gaining ground. New research about areas will be presented. Additionally, we will be hearing about the great projects of the past year, looking at the trends shaping our industry, and seeking to optimize our archive use.
Keeping close to the audience, understanding their changing needs and preferences, is key to the future success of public media. The Agenda of the 2017 New Radio Day can be found here,
