The 2019 Eurovision Presidential Debate will be broadcast live from the European Parliament in Brussels on 15 May 2019 at 21:00 CEST.
This second edition of the debate will again bring together the lead candidates vying to be the next president of the European Commission. EBU Member broadcasters will be bringing this democratic political debate to audiences across Europe.
The 15 May debate will be presented by 3 journalists:
Emilie Tran Nguyen, France Televisions, and Markus Preiss, ARD Germany, will lead the debate on stage, while Annastiina Heikkila, YLE Finland, will feed the discussion from the social media angle.
The Eurovision Debate 2019 will have a whole team in place to cover live input from the public through various social media channels, in particular Twitter, during the live debate, to stimulate exchanges across borders around issues that are topical for the next European elections.
