The Berlin Summit

The Conference for Cultural Radio and Music Managers will take place in Berlin on Friday, 26 October 2012 at the kind invitation of Radio Berlin-Brandenburg and Prix Europa 2012, featuring – since 2011 – a Radio Music category.

Under the guidance of Karl Karst (DEWDR), Chairman of the Euroradio Culture Group, some 25 participants will meet at the RBB to discuss successes and challenges of cultural radio stations, with a special topic on their future and mandate in our changing civilization. Keynote speakers will include Annika Nyberg Frankenhaeuser (EBU Media Director), Cilla Benkö (SESR Deputy Director General), Friedrich Spangemacher (Chairman of the Euroradio Music Group), as well as representatives from EBU Radio Members in Belgium, Hungary, Germany, Italy and Austria.

All participants in THE BERLIN SUMMIT are invited to attend the Prix Europa Awards 2012 on Saturday, 27 October 2012 at midday, and especially to attend the outstanding concert of the Grzech Piotrowski World Orchestra in the Prix Europa Concert Hall on Tuesday evening, 23 October 2012, which will be live on Euroradio.

Furthermore, Jorunn Hope (NONRK) and Graham Dixon (GBBBC) will be the Euroradio Music Group's representatives on the Prix Europa 2012 jury, in the new Radio Category devoted to music programmes.
