Fiction writing seminar
in cooperation with Eurovision, RTS, the City and Canton of Geneva with Guy Meredith, Script Doctor
Television series
Guy Meredith will provide an overview of all the various techniques used in writing television serials (in which the story continues from episode to episode) or series (in which a different story is presented in each episode), and will attempt to highlight the keys to success.
Guy Meredith is an author, scriptwriter, consultant and teacher. He is the instigator of Pilots, the TV-writing workshop of the EU MEDIA programme, that he has been running for the past seven years. He has given several conferences on various aspects of writing, intended for broadcasters, editors, universities and other professional organizations, in the United Kingdom and more than 10 other countries.
The seminar is part of the writing workshops of the Geneva-Europe Prize, an initiative of the European Alliance for Television & Culture (EATC). The workshops are organized every year by Eurovision in collaboration with RTS, the City and Canton of Geneva and Fonction Cinéma. They are open to promising new scriptwriters who have written a fiction synopsis, regardless of the genre – TV film, series pilot, miniseries or sitcom pilot – and who are supported by a TV channel that is a member of the AETC.
