About the Rose d’Or

The awards were created in 1961 by Marcel Bezençon, the visionary behind the Eurovision Song Contest, as a celebration of quality programming. It is one of the world’s most important and prestigious events for TV entertainment and arts programmes. Today television professionals, producers, managers of private and public television stations and production company heads from 40 countries participate annually. Since its inception, it has been an important networking platform and a marketplace for ideas. The Rose d'Or Awards Ceremony is a red carpet event, in which the Golden Roses for best television entertainment programmes are presented.
