Partnership Programme mounts "Train the trainers" workshop on public service news

On 23-26 September in Zagreb, the EBU Partnership Programme will mount a regional “train the trainers” workshop on public service news at the premises of HRT, EBU's Croatian member.

Phase II of a training scheme conceived under an EBU Action Plan to strengthen public service media in EU accession countries, the workshop will target promising individuals identified in eight national workshops held between March and September 2013.

During the two-day workshop under the guidance of Frederic Frantz of the Eurovision ACADEMY,  the participants - two per organisation (HRT, BHRT, RTS, RTV, RTCG, RTK, RTSH and MKRTV) - will learn about different teaching techniques and methods necessary to roll-out fully-fledged training schemes on public service news for their own employers. They will also discuss the core values of public service media with Hans Laroes, former editor-in-chief of NOS, the Netherlands, and former chairman of the EBU News Committee.

The workshop is co-financed by the European Union.
