JUNIOR Eurovision SONG CONTEST 2013
The next show will be broadcast live from the Ukraine Palace in Kiev.
The event will be a coproduction by Eurovision and Ukrainian public broadcaster NTU.
The aim of the contest is to promote young talent in the popular music sector, by encouraging competition among the child performers. All contestants must be 10 to 15 years old on the day of the contest. Unlike the main Eurovision Song Contest, the country to have won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest does not automatically host the next show. A specially created Format Group is currently looking into revamping the contest for 2014.
Some of the new format elements will already be implemented in 2013.
