Eurovision News Contacts Meeting

Hosted by MTVA, Hungary, the Eurovision Contacts Meeting brings together news, sports and special events contacts for two days of sharing, learning and networking.

Agenda

Some of the highlights of the meeting will include:

  • A keynote on the Future of News by Prof. Richard Sambrook, Professor and Director of Centre for Journalism at Cardiff University and former director of BBC News
  • “Trauma and the media” by Prof. Neil Greenberg, President of the UK Psychological Trauma Society
  • Sharing of best practices by Members, including NOS and their MH17 coverage
  • Working with the News Exchange in times of breaking news – case of Charlie Hebdo and Germanwings
  • DAESH / IS: challenges & risks for our newsrooms
