EBU at VR & AR World

The largest VR & AR event in Europe, VR & AR World brings together the leading exponents of Virtual and Augmented Reality worldwide, featuring technology case studies, debates and demonstrations to unite the ecosystem and maximise the full potential of this rapidly developing new technology. 

The EBU will contribute to this year's conference through demonstrations, presentations and panel discussions. Delegates will get the opportunity to exchange experiences and learn about the latest in 360 degree, VR and AR production from public broadcasters, including an EBU-hosted workshop on day two of the conference (20 October).

"VR IN PUBLIC BROADCASTING: CONTENT & STRATEGIES"​

Many EBU Members are experimenting with 360 and VR. What are the lessons learned so far and what are the next steps? In this session, we will discuss about:

  • Some of the best case studies from public service broadcasters experimenting with 360 & VR
  • Using 360 & VR to engage with audiences around a show, a TV series, news documentaries or major international events
  • What content is best suited for VR, and what workflows best support its production
  • How public broadcasters can help and educate the audience to make the best out of 360 & VR experiences
  • What do we know about audience VR content consumption habits and what do they expect from us?
