The Eurovision TV Assembly is the annual event for TV and media Directors and senior figures from across EBU public service media organizations.

The Assembly provides a unique opportunity to discuss key ideas and share strategies in media management, production and programming among peers. This assembly covers the major issues of daily concern to TV leaders, so to take away ideas and solutions to apply to their activities.

The emphasis is both strategic and practical. Members share and debate real dilemmas among colleagues which they face in the disruptive media landscape. Keynote presentations address crucial topics that matter in the media environment, case studies are presented by industry experts and EBU offers an update on its services.

How do we manage the digital challenges?

We intend to hold sessions on the role of public media in a changing world; managing digital challenges; freedom of speech; innovations, and the major TV format success stories of the previous year.

We are delighted that the TV Assembly will be hosted by our colleagues at Slovakian Television on 1 & 2 June 2017. An ideal occasion to discover the beautiful city of Bratislava on the banks of the Danube that is easily accessible from Vienna Airport.

And after the Assembly on Friday 2nd June, an exclusive boat trip visit to Modern Art Museum Danubiana will be organized from 14:00 to 19:00. Danubiana is the youngest modern art museum in Europe. Elections

By the same deadline, they shall also submit to the Secretary a brief autobiographical note and statement expressing their motivation to stand, which will be included in the working document.

In exceptional cases, candidates may announce their intention to stand during the Assembly.  Candidates must have the support of their organizations, sufficient time to carry out their duties on the TV Committee, and the resources from their organizations to cover travel costs.

Members not attending the Assembly in person are permitted to nominate another organization to vote on their behalf in Bratislava. The deadline for submitting proxies is 31st May 2017, 09:00 Swiss time. All documentation must be sent to myself as Secretary to the TV Committee (depraetere@ebu.ch).
